Consolis Latvija SIA, member of the Consolis Group, has entered into an agreement with Nordex Latvia SIA, newly established Latvian branch of one of the world\u2019s largest wind turbine manufacturers, for the production of precast concrete towers for wind energy projects in the Baltic countries. The parent company Nordex SE is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and is headquartered in Hamburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first project in the Baltics will be for Laflora Energy SIA, owned by Latvian major energy producer Latvenergo AS. Laflora site, located 60 km south of Riga, will consist of 16 towers with Nordex N175\/6.X turbines. With the total installed power of 108,8 MW, the Laflora wind park will be a significant addition to the availability of green energy in Latvia, reducing the CO2 emissions of the local energy mix. It will also improve Latvian energy security by reducing need for energy imports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Height of the towers will be impressive 179 meters from ground to turbine level, and including the blades, the total height will be as much as 266,5 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consolis Latvija will invest significantly in its Rumbula factory near Riga, building a production hub specialized in manufacturing precast concrete elements for wind turbine towers for Nordex. The manufacturing of the precast towers for Laflora will provide work for more than a hundred employees at our Rumbula factory and the subcontractors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
